A STONE walling course later this month will be led by Dartmoor expert Dave Hannaford from Ashburton.

The two-day event on April 26 to 27 is to be held at Miners Dry, Horndon, Mary Tavy.

Among Mr Hannford's recent achievements has been the restoration of a number of moorland leats.

Jane Marchand, senior archeologist with Dartmoor National Park Authority, calls him Mr Dartmoor and said of him and the work he carries out for the authority: 'Working with Dave, well he just never lets you down and seriously, he's fantastic.'
