Lipson Utd U13s 2 Tavistock U13s 3 THIS was a tremendous match with good football from both sides. Play went from end to end and on a small pitch the ball spent a lot of time off the pitch. Lipson settled first by a well struck shot into the roof of the net. Tavistock battled but Lipson were quick to close down. The break came when Gordon latched onto a free ball and levelled the scoreline. The second half saw great defensive work by Shaw and Glasspoole and Rose battled furiously. Turner fought her way down the wing but shots went wide. Tavistock were awarded a corner which Gale smashed into the box and a deflection saw the ball in the back of the net. Lipson lobbed a high ball in over Foster to equalise. Rose took command and struck home a fine shot into the net. Tavistock held on to stay top of the league. Player of the match: Katie Glasspoole.
