IT was another successful weekend for the members of North Devon Wheelers cycle club. Both Ray Retter and Steve Sage competed in Mid Devon C.C. 100 mile time trial on the A38 at Chulmleigh.
Steve had been training all year for this race and all his hard work wasn?t in vain as his time of 4:09:49 beat his personal best by more than 15 minutes and was also quick enough for third place overall.
He has also moved into second place in the South West best all competition, which is for the fastest rider over a 25 mile, 50 mile and 100 mile time trial.
Ray?s time of 4:15:21 whilst being a little slower than his previous best was still good enough to put him in fifth place overall.
Next week both Ray and Steve will be back on the A38 for a 50 mile time trial organised by Plymouth Corinthians C.C.
Both riders will be looking to improve their PB?s and to consolidate their BAR positions.
