MISS Trudi?s School of Dance in Tavistock is celebrating a 100% pass rate in its May dancing exams in which 119 people took part. Exams were taken in graded ballet, tap and modern stage and there were theatrical rainbow awards for the three to six year olds. This year?s examiner was the chairman of the National Association of Teachers of Dancing ballet branch Elizabeth Chamberlain from Derbyshire. She examines at some of the association?s top schools so pupils had to work hard to pass their exams. Special mentions were given to Richard Bennett and Jack Matthews for both gaining distinctions in their preliminary tap exam and to Miki Morfey for gaining distinctions for her level one adult leisure modern and for her pre-level one adult leisure tap. The dance school is now rehearsing for its winter musical production of Aladdin which will be performed in the Wharf at the end of November.
