A CHARITY dog walk took place in Okehampton recently to celebrate National Pet Week. The event was organised by Okeford Veterinary Centre and raised more than £250 for the Dogs for the Disabled charity. All the participating dogs were given special goody bags donated by Royal Canin ? vet Philip Davies paid tribute to the walk organisers Jane Jones and Kirstin Phippard and thanked everyone who had taken part. During the same week, the practice held a special evening meeting aimed at rabbit owners. Staff gave advice on a wide range of rabbit-related issues including housing, feeding, dentistry, neutering and vaccination.
