WEST Devon woman Kirsty Sheehan, 27 will be following her heart when she treks the Inca trail in Peru to Machu Picchu to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) next year. Kirsty, an administrator from Halwill Junction, got involved in the trip because she wanted to raise money for a well-deserved charity, which does so much for millions of people across Britain. The nine-day event in May promises to be the experience of a lifetime for Kirsty, involving trekking for four days at high altitude and walking between 5 and ten hours a day! She has already started training hard and is confident she will be ready to meet the challenge only a few months away. Kirsty is trying to raise as much money as possible for the BHF?s fight against heart and circulatory disease, which is still a bigger killer then any other serious illness, including cancer. As part of her efforts she will be collecting locally, handing out flyers, organising sponsored events and much more. Anyone who would like to sponsor Kirsty should log on to: http://www.bfh.org.uk/sponsor/kirst">www.bfh.org.uk/sponsor/kirst Alternatively send cheques, made payable to: British Heart Foundation and post to: Holsworthy Insurance Services, C/O Miss K Sheehan, FREEPOST, 3 Bodmin Street, Holsworthy, Devon, EX22 6YZ.
