Plymouth and West Devon division one

Staddiscombe 2

Ordulph FC 5

ORDULPH made a terrible start against basement club Staddiscombe and were punished after a horrendous first half performance.

They went behind after Staddiscombe found themselves through on goal and fired past Ordulph's captain for the day Ashely Woodrow. Ordulph created little chances although Paul Gliddon did look lively down the left wing, but it was the host who scored again before the break to go in 2-0 goals to the good.

The second half saw assistant manager George Scott bring on James Phillpotts and Andy Bacon. The changes seemed to work and Ben Stephens pulled a goal back with a shot from  the edge of the box. Stephens soon had the Ordulph level tucking the ball in at the near post .

The visitors looked to be in control and when Phillpotts played in Sherrell he duly applied the finish to complete the comback. Phillpotts then added another drilling a shot in from 25 yards.

Ben Stephens completed a second half hat-trick slotting home a penalty for handball to end their worst run of the season of three straight defeats.
