THE Fishermen's Mission charity is again inviting walkers to join them on their eighth exciting annual sponsored Midnight Madness night walk across Dartmoor on the night of Saturday, July 20.

For those who have never experienced Dartmoor at night, this 13-mile challenge is not to be missed. Experience the sounds and the terrain of Dartmoor with only the moonlight and torchlight to guide your way. Teams and individuals are all welcome but pre booking is essential.

South west regional rundraising manager Gina Moore said: 'Walking Dartmoor at night is a real challenge and very different from daytime walking.

'Over the past seven years Midnight Madness has become the "must do" of challenge events across the south west, with both businesses teams and the general public joining in.'

Funds raised will help the Fishermen's Mission provide emergency and welfare support to fishermen and their families 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

This unforgettable challenge is organised and managed on the night by the experts, the Plymouth Team of the Dartmoor Search and Rescue.
