Have a go at something different and change your life for the better! Morris dancing is a fun way of socialising and keeping fit. Lodestone, a local Tavistock dance team, are looking for new members.

If you are interested, male and female, why not pop along to the open evening where there will be a chance to have a go.

You need to be over 16, have some basic fitness and the ability to pick up dance moves.

To be ready for next summer the team practise the dances every Thursday from now until the end of April.

Musicians who would like to have a go at playing for a group of Morris dancers and join them when they dance out at pubs and folk and Morris festivals next summer will also be welcome at the open evening.

The group can be seen in action, dancing around Tavistock on Saturday, October 13 from 10am.

The open evening is on Thursday, October 18 from 8pm to 10pm at the Tavy Club, King Street, Tavistock. Just turn up or contact Mike on 01822 855281.
