THE Bedford and Wharf car parks in Tavistock will be closed from midnight on Saturday, May 31 to 8pm on Sunday, June 1 for the Tavistock Steam Fair. Other car parks will be unaffected by the event, which will be open from 10am to 5pm on the Sunday. Pedestrian access will be via the footpath from Plymouth Road to the Bedford car park and from the Meadowlands end of the Wharf car park. Canal Road entrance will be for the use of exhibitors only. Entry to the event, run by the Robey Trust, will be £2.50 for adults with children accompanied by an adult free. Unaccompanied children £2.50.
