A TAVISTOCK resident has this week issued a big thank you to everyone who supported a special stall in the town?s pannier market on Saturday. Becky LeSeelleur organised the stall, selling genuine Peruvian crafts and clothes, to raise money for a charity which helps street children in the town of Cusco, in the Andes. Becky, who is also supporting a young Peruvian through university, said she was delighted at the response to the stall. She said: ?The market was extremely successful and we raised over £550 after expenses had been deducted. ?That sounds even more impressive when I say that it?s around 3,248.92 Peruvian Nuevo Soles!? Becky said she was so pleased at the success of the stall she now planned to hold a similar event in the spring.
