IN the Okehampton Ladies Netball League Falcons overcame Speedwells 58-36.

In this fast paced first division match Speedwells pulled out all the stops to keep Falcons from having an easy game and at half time Falcons were leading by only four goals.

Speedwells, however, began to tire in the third quarter and Falcons were able to pull away winning the match by 22 goals; a score that did not truly reflect the match.

In the second division Jets had another tough game against Sprites in a local derby as both teams are predominately from Hatherleigh.

Jets were trailing by four goals at the end of the first quarter but pulled it back and went into the third quarter leading by one goal. At this point the match became real end to end play and it was impossible to separate the two teams. With the scores level and only nine seconds on the clock Sprites scored to make it 31-30.
