A GROUP of poets with a love of Dartmoor have organised a number of workshops this spring.
Moor Poets Spring Workshops will be held at several venues in April and May.
The Combustion Engine, with Andy Brown, will be a lively, participatory workshop using sound and the intensity of imagery to create a sense of direction and development in a poem.
The workshop will be on Sunday, April 11 at Endecott House in Chagford.
Considering Writing Practice, with Denise McSheehy, will concentrate on writing practice with close reference to poets, such as Sylvia Plath and Peter Redgrove.
Participants are requested to bring an early draft of a poem.
The workshop will be on Sunday, May 2 in Scoriton Village Hall.
The Seeing Inside of Seeing, with Alyson Hallet, will focus on different ways of seeing and engaging with landscape.
The workshop will will be on Sunday, May 23 at the YHA Youth Hostel in Bellever near Postbridge. Poets of all abilities are welcome.
