SPRING is in the air ? but one way to step swiftly into the spirit of the coming season is to book up for a fashion show at Fairplace Church, Okehampton.
On Friday, March 21, the first day of spring, a fashion show will take place in the hall behind the church.
This is intended to be a curtain-raiser for a busy programme being prepared throughout 2003 and focussing on the centenary of the present building, which will be featured from June onwards.
The evening will be run by Teazles. The organisers have recruited models of varying ages to show the most popular sizes and latest trends to suit personal taste and individual pockets.
Tickets, priced at £4.50 (children £2) including refreshments, are on sale from church officials and from the 50/50 shop in the Arcade.
