MORE than 1,000 people from across the area celebrated the arrival of spring as they donned their wellies and visited Duchy College Stoke Climsland's family fun lambing day recently.
People enjoyed a tractor and trailer ride up to the college's working farm where they were able to hold and bottle-feed the new born baby lambs, meet the piglets and see the Devon cattle.
Throughout the day children found out all the facts about sheep, climbed on the college's tractors, watched the equine show and saw rabbits, ducks, goats and more in the animal care department.
The next Duchy College family fun community event will be the open day and food festival on June 21 and 22.
l Six-year-old Chloe Bailey, pictured above, said: 'The best part of my day was holding the baby lambs.'
