AFTER a long winter the first signs of spring are appearing on hedgerows and in gardens — and Tavistock Pannier Market will be packed with spring flowers for the first of the specialist plant fairs of 2011 on Sunday, March 20.

Up to 30 specialist nurseries from across the South West will be offering many rare and unusual plants — and plenty of advice.

The fair raises funds for Plant Heritage — formerly the NCCPG, The National Council for the Conservation of Plants and Gardens.

It is open from 10am to 3pm and entry is £1.

The market also offers hot drinks and light meals all day.
