WEST Devon Borough Council's recyling team were out on the streets of Okehampton this week to remind people in the town of its new recycling and waste collection service, which started on Monday.

Andrew Barron and Paula Sutton (pictured left) set up a table outside All Saints Church and next to the council's offices to hand out leaflets and answer questions on waste collection.

They reminded residents that the council has a weekly collection of recyclables from green boxes left on the kerbside and a weekly food waste collection from outdoor, lockable food bins. Collections of refuse (non-recyclable) will be made every other week — alternating with your garden waste.
