PREPARE for a batty night at Lopwell Dam tomorrow (Friday) as the winged creatures feature in an evening walk and talk.

The event will start at 7pm, with the newly restored pump house available to view as well as the Plymouth bat projects stand. An illustrated talk on British bats will start at 8pm followed by a bat walk around Lopwell Local Nature Reserve at 9.15pm led by conservation officer of South West Lakes Trust Neil Reeves.

The new facilities in the pump house include disabled access but the walk will not be suitable for the less-abled. Seating is available for the illustrated talk and tea and coffee will be available on arrival.

Visitors should bring warm clothes, torch, bat detector if owned and sturdy boots or wellies. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on this occasion.

A £5 donation per person is welcomed for the walk and talk. Booking is essential as limited places are available. Please contact 01566 771930 for booking and for enquiries contact Neil Reeves on 01822 855700.
