TAVISTOCK Library is looking for budding young authors to join in with a series of workshops in the near future.
The library is holding three creative writing sessions for youngsters aged between 11 and 16 years ? and work may be published in an anthology to celebrate Tavistock?s Charter celebrations next year.
The first workshop, on November 27, concentrates on short story writing in any genre from murder mystery to spine chiller, swashbuckler to romance.
The story can be historical or contemporary, hysterical or serious, but must be set in Tavistock.
The next workshop on January 15 will give youngsters a chance to air their poetical prowess, expressing ideas about Tavistock in whatever style is preferred.
Finally, on January 29, potential journalists are invited to bring their notepad and pencil along to the library, aided by an active imagination, to write an article on Tavistock?s markets.
Each workshop begins at 2.30pm and places at them can be booked via the library in Plymouth Road.
All work will be put on display in the library.
