TAVISTOCK Community Sports Centre is to host a packed fortnight of activities to keep youngsters busy throughout the Easter holidays.

The centre, at Tavistock College, will offer 8 to 14-year-olds a choice of 39 classes and trips over the two week break, including cricket, fitness sessions and street dancing.

Sports centre manager Barry Mountstevens said: 'From Tuesday, April 6 to Friday 16, young people of all sporting abilities will be able to take part in a fantastic choice of activities, ranging from football, basketball, netball and swimming to cooking, break dancing, art and drama.

'While most classes will be held on-site, there will also be the opportunity to join kayaking and surfing trips.

'Specialist staff are offering sessions in American football, archery, fencing, salsa dancing and street surfing. There really is something for everyone.'

Tennis, badminton, fashion, athletics, climbing, tag rugby, urban dance, indoor bowling, futsal, hockey, table tennis and Wii sports are all available.

The sports centre also offers weekly fitness and sports classes for all ages.
