THE Spooners tetrathlon team were in action at an event organised by Lamerton Pony Club, the first competition with their ponies for many months with showjumping replacing the usual cross country phase.

All three competitors performed well for the club with Alice Wooley finishing fifth in the minimus girls having run a pb and with a good shoot.

Alice Raeburn competed this time in the novice minimus mixed class and finished fourth with an excellent run.

Kelly Cordon notched up another pb in her run and swim and had an excellent ride.

The three girls missed out on a team placing but had a great time and all gained a great deal from the experience.

Training for anyone interested in competing in triathlons is soon to start in earnest for the Spooners competitors, with shooting, swimming and running sessions.
