TWO Tavistock doctors this week paid tribute to the generosity of sponsors who supported them in their recent gruelling runs during marathon events on both sides of the English Channel.
Annette Roberts and Peter Rodgers both work at Abbey Surgery in Tavistock?s Plymouth Road. Dr Roberts competed in the London Marathon, finishing in the very respectable time of four hours, two minutes, while Dr Rodgers ran in the Paris Marathon, completing the course in four hours, 21 minutes.
The doctors raised the splendid total of £1,119.90 which is being donated to Cancer Research, Save the Children Fund and the Friends of Abbey Surgery fund.
