TWO intrepid women from Okehampton are jumping out of an aeroplane to raise money for a charity close to their hearts.
Rachel Bolt and Rachel Hole, who are colleagues at Waitrose superstore in Okehampton, will be taking part in a sponsored skydive on August 18 from Dunkeswell airfield near Honiton in aid of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the British Heart Foundation.
They both have personal reasons behind choosing the charities.
Rachel Bolt's son Harry was diagnosed with type one diabetes just before his second birthday in 2010 and now uses an insulin pump to keep his levels stable.
Her friend Rachel Hole has lost two close family members to heart disease and is supporting the British Heart Foundation who carry out vital research into heart disease in the UK.
