Carlsberg South West Peninsula League division one West Callington Town 1 Wadebridge Town 3 CONTROVERSY reigned at Ginsters Marshfield Parc as Wadebridge kept their 100 per cent record against a battling ten-man Callington following a penalty and a red card for the home keeper with his side dominating the game. Following an even opening ten minutes, Chris Wolstencroft opened the scoring when he fired an overhead kick past Adam Fuller. Callington came right back and dominated the rest of the half without managing seriously to test the visitors. Eight minutes into the second half, Josh Insley was first to react to some awful defending to put the visitors 2-0 ahead, but Callington came straight back with Dan Discombe testing the keeper from 25 yards. Then, on 56 minutes, Pete Floyd crossed for Kenny Spear to head past the Wadebridge keeper to put the home side back into the game. Callington pushed for an equaliser but were always going to be vunerable on the counter-attack. With 15 minutes to go, Town keeper Fuller collided with a Wadebridge player and, despite protests that another Callington defender was between the ball and the goal, the referee pointed to the spot and, once a dazed Fuller had recovered, gave him a red card. Wolstencroft converted the spot kick to give his side a 3-1 lead and despite some spirited attacking play from the home side, they held on to gain the three points.
