Forty people including children, parents and Trainers enjoyed a friendly football match on Tavistock Community Sports Centre's all weather pitch.

The Specials are celebrating one year as a team and is open to all children and adults with special needs.

Chair Cathy Sharp said: 'We are so proud of our group and the trainers have been brilliant! The children love their training , the matches and are entered in tournaments held in the South West.

It was the best thing we ever did to get this running and as a group we thank all the incredible sponsors, supporters and fund raisers.'

With the Son-Rise Cup on May 8 and 9 it will be exciting to see the launch of adult special needs football in the area.

Newton Soccability will be bringing two teams in the tournament at Tavistock AFC's Langsford Park in front of a large crowd of family and supporters.
