Tavistock district U3A celebrated its tenth anniversary with 'Tea at the Town Hall' last week with all six chairpersons from the last decade coming to share their memories with members.

The 'Ritz'-style tea was accompanied by music from Geoff Lakeman's trio 'Speakeasy' and an exhibition was compiled from articles sent in by the leaders of more than 30 groups, featuring photos and early memories as well as a description of how the organisation has developed and grown.

It is planned to show this exhibition again at the annual meeting in March after which it will be archived.
