STAFF?at Tavistock Telemarketing company Broadley Speaking went to work in mufti for the day recently and sold bacon baps to raise money and show their support for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
The company raised £75 for the charity and presented the cheque to Malcolm Christie, the chairman of the RBL at Tavistock.
Mr Christie said: 'I would like to thank the staff of Broadley Speaking for their very generous donation, which will boost the Tavistock branch 2012 Poppy Appeal effort.'
He said that although delighted to receive the donation as branch chairman, he would like to mention the dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly for the Tavistock Poppy Appeal Collection.
In particular he wanted to recognise the efforts of Sheila Allen, the branch Poppy Appeal organiser, who he said is a 'shining example of dedication to us all'.
