Former Duchy College student, Noel Murray, has won his first golf title at the inaugural Iberian Golf Tour series, which takes place on the Azores Islands, off the coast of Portugal.
Belfast born Noel, who only turned professional in October, is already celebrating his first major win after claiming the individual professional title at the contest, having studied on the Tournament Golf foundation degree at Duchy College.
Noel, 20, kept his nerve throughout the competition to win by two shots over local Portuguese player, Andre Medeiros.
A delighted Noel said: 'This week has been a lot of fun. The Iberian Golf Tour gives us young players an excellent opportunity to get in some valuable practice and competition away from the harsh conditions we experience back home.'
