IT has been a busy fortnight for the pupils and staff of Hatherleigh Primary School.
Following the fun-filled junior sports day the school embarked on a theme week.
The whole school looked at aspects of fire, water and air from the reception youngsters through to Year 6.
A great deal of learning was covered in a short space of time involving all aspects of the curriculum.
There were visits from outside bodies, including the fire service, the air ambulance and from Jonathan with his birds of prey.
A special talk was given by Arthur Owen on the way shape captures space — it inspired a number of the school's young mathematicians to take another look at 3D shapes.
