RUMOURS that an international pop superstar had bought a stunning Grade I Listed property near Tavistock were this week quashed by agents handling the sale of the estate. A spokesman for Knight Frank said that Morwell Barton was not likely to become a hideaway bolthole for Robbie Williams. The £2.5-million estate, ?a fastinating Grade I Listed medieval farmhouse in an outstanding setting?, has views over the Tamar Valley, plus a swimming pool, stabling and 243 acres. The spokesman said: ?It?s a big, grand and imposing house. We have had interest in it but sadly, from no-one exciting like Robbie Williams. ?I suppose it?s a wonderful house and it?s very private, so it would be well suited for someone like that, but I can honestly say he hasn?t been in contact with us as far as I know.?
