A CHAGFORD solicitors? office which has been in the town for more than 20 years is closing at the end of next month.
South Devon solicitors Woollcombe Beer Watts have announced the closure of the Chagford office from Friday, April 30.
The partner-in-charge has been Robert Sampson who is very well known in Chagford and the surrounding area.
The office has been open in the town since 1983.
Robert Sampson said: ?I am very sorry that the office is closing. I will continue to live in Chagford and will be keeping in close contact with all the clients I have built up over many years.?
Mr Sampson said the closure was the result of increased need for specialisation and support.
He will be relocating to the solicitors? office in Exeter, where he will oversee expansion of expertise in the field of wills, trusts and tax work.
As a consequence of the closure of the Chagford office, Roger Partridge will be retiring.
The processing of his existing work and dealing with continuing cases will be done through the Exeter office.
