AFTER reading your article 'Landscaping to soften the heart of village' (October 28) I feel compelled to express my opinion through your newspaper.

During a recent holiday abroad I mentioned to my husband how beautifully presented the roundabouts which we encountered appeared. I commented that it was a shame that Yelverton roundabout was so bare and bleak in appearance.

If you take time to observe other roundabouts in the country including Safeways, Tavistock, they are all an abundance of shrubs and I feel that the planting of a few trees and shrubs would improve Yelverton roundabout immensely and soften the appearance for both locals and visitors alike.
