THE oldest surviving branch of the Bible Society in the UK is holding its annual meeting on Thursday March 8.
The Hatherleigh District Action Group meeting takes place at the town's Methodist Church from 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend. The group hopes a representative from every church in the area will attend.
The Hatherleigh branch is the oldest in the UK, celebrating 188 years as a group in 2012. It was formed in 1824 and to this day continues to raise money to provide Bibles in many languages to people throughout the world, and raise awareness of its messages. At the meeting the group will discuss how to move forward in the coming year.
