Yelverton seconds v Alphington seconds

YELVERTON seconds narrowly missed out against Alphington seconds, in a dramatic ending, which saw them lose out by just three runs.

The match, played at Yelverton on Saturday, saw some excellent cricket played, including Matt Tamsett who took 4-30 and Tony Carter with 2-32. However, Alphington's R Rowe, who took 4-30 with the ball and 45 not out with the bat, proved to be the thorn in Bohemians' side.

Alphington now lie just one place above Yelverton in the Devon Second XI B Division, but with only 12 points between them, the competition is far from over.
