THERE was a much better game and result last week for the ladies.
The first goal was a long time coming, with shots being fired by many of the home side. The deadlock was eventually broken and Okehampton took charge, using good passing across and up the pitch to dictate play. Clare Tyson, who is in her first season with the ladies, had an excellent game in left midfield. Hayley Vincent commanded the central midfield area and held the team together.
A great team performance by all. Goals came from Sarah Blowey with a hat-trick and Kelly Cooper with one in each half.
Naomi Wilkins also netted one and Michelle Vaughan got two; one of which was a superb solo effort which began near Okehampton's defence.

Lynda Cann finally hung up her boots last week. She has been with the ladies since the beginning and has given much to the team over the years for which all are all grateful - players wish her well in her retirement!
