Kelly College Girls 1st XI 4

Exeter School Girls 1st XI 0

AFTER a useful squad training match early in the term with Tavistock Ladies, a full strength Kelly won their first match of the season.

Many of last year's unbeaten team were back and the side quickly slipped into the short, sharp passing game that is a feature of their play.

Exeter defended well and Kelly lacked a cutting edge in the D early on to finish off good build-up play.

Nora Pott, a new German pupil, opened her account for the school with a well taken goal after incisive work from Amy Hill on the right wing to make it 1-0 at half-time.

With Cherry Phypers and Jo Hollick dominant at the back and roving forward, the pressure started to tell on the Exeter defence. Nora collected two more goals to make it a debut hat-trick and Alex Sutton slotted a goal to make the final score 4-0.

Rebecca Wallace looked confident in her new role in central midfield and there is much cause for optimism for another successful season for the Kelly girls.
