AN Okehampton-based arts practitioner who worked for many years with the Plough Youth Theatre at Torrington will be staging the premiere of a new play at the Barnstaple Fringe Festival this month.
Rob Pudner's Entertainingly Difference Youth Theatre Group (EDYT) will present 'Snarks' at the festival on June 22 and 23.
'Snarks' is an inspired piece of nonsense by local writer Philip Bailey and is based on Lewis Carroll's 'Hunting of the Snark' and other nonsense verse.
Rob said: 'We are all very excited about bringing the play to the Fringe — it is very physical and suitable for the whole family with its colourful characters, adventure and slapstick humour. The group performed an excerpt in Torrington Square as part of the jubilee celebrations and were very well received so this certainly bodes well for our performances in Barnstaple.'
