GIRLS Aloud singer and West End actress Kimberly Walsh is calling all glasses wearers in Tavistock to snap a selfie in their specs to be in with a last chance of winning a £10,000 jackpot and a dream holiday. Kimberley has teamed up with Specsavers and anti-bullying charity Kidscape to champion the annual Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition. This year's overall winner will be presented with £10,000 in cash and a dream holiday to the Bahamas at a star studded event hosted by Gok Wan later this year. Sarah Routly, store director at Specsavers in Tavistock, said: 'We know how much people in Tavistock love their glasses and we're out to find the person who loves them the most! There are five different age categories so there's something for everyone.' Kimberly said: 'It's been brilliant to see so many entries so far from Tavistock. It's obviously a place where people love their glasses but there must be more people out there and I really want to see them. 'We've raised more than £7,000 this year so far for Kidscape but it's great that there's still time. This year the competition is all about wearing your glasses with pride.' Kimberly is the face of Specsavers' Love Glasses campaign and the associated Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition, which sees £1 donated by Specsavers to Kidscape for every entry. There are four age categories — sixteen to 24, 25 to 39, 40 to 59 and 60+, as well as a Facebook favourite voted for by the public. A winner from each category will win a VIP makeover and will attend the celebrity-studded grand final in London on October 7. To be in with a chance of scooping the biggest accolade in the specs-wearing world, specs wearers can enter the competition online at http://www.specsavers.co.uk/loveglasses">www.specsavers.co.uk/loveglasses via Facebook on http://www.facebook.com/specsavers">www.facebook.com/specsavers or at their nearest Specsavers store.
