OKEHAMPTON moved the ball wide to score and slick handling by the backs led to centres Carl Poynton scoring two, Carl Goodall three and wing Josh Chadwick one.

Tom Browne at fly-half distributed the ball well. Pick of the forwards were Scott Simpson, Stuart Bennie and Rob Long, who scored one try from a five metre maul and a second from a penalty move from the halfway line. Poynton converted three.

WITH a number of new players Okehampton bounced back from last week?s defeat with Tavistock to show more promise against a difficult Teignmouth side.

Okehampton?s forwards, solid in the set pieces, began to provide ball for halfbacks Michael Heard and Dan Curtis.

Curtis put new boy Cameron Hunt away on halfway who, despite cover tackles, dived over in the corner to score. Initially given by the referee, it was disallowed by a very late line call.

Teignmouth scored before Okehampton rallied and good work between Graham Blew and Thomas Mallett set Pete Gillard and Peter Vernon off down the left.

A blatant infringement by Teignmouth stopped the move yards from the line.

After half time Okehampton continued to impress with their commitment; from one move Curtis put Hignett away from the halfway, who roared through Teignmouth tackles to score in the corner.

Minutes later Peter Gillard stepped through Teignmouth tackles to run in from 35 yards.

With the forwards making yardage up the middle Martin Mann crashed over for a deserved try.

With the scores level Teignmouth bounced back to score a try, after increasing the score in the final seconds with another hotly

disputed try.

No match this week. Training 10am, Sunday (all to attend).

TEIGNMOUTH scored two quick tries. With Tom White out for the season Okehampton had to pick up their game.

Tom Foggerty at fly half received good ball from Sam Unwin and produced the first of his three tries.

With tries shared in the second half Oliver Kirby, who had an excellent game, was unlucky not to score.

Sam Vinson and Sam Cooper put on some good tackles to keep Teignmouth at bay and Michael and Henry, playing their first game for Okehampton, performed well.

Matt Johns converted.

OKEHAMPTON started well with some strong, straight running from Billy Searle who opened the scoring.

Josh Bickley scored next with his jinking running proving too much for Teignmouth?s defence.

Callum had a huge game at prop as did Kyren Lee on the wing. Replacements were made at half time giving some of the lads only their second game.

Teignmouth scored three well worked tries but Ike Francis dropped his shoulder and stormed over for the winning try.

DANIEL Foggerty?s exceptional pace opened up the scoring for North Tawton/Okehampton.

Daniel Squires found a gap and grabbed his first of two tries.

Some excellent passing from Callum Mallett out to Luke Shin gave Ollie Francis time to dash down the wing for his first try.

Edward Brain and Tom Pierce put in some excellent tackles in the second half.

North Tawton/Okehampton gave away a penalty which gave Teignmouth a chance to string a lovely pass out to the wing and good pressure from Lewis Taylor and Charlie Berry could not keep them from scoring in the corner.

This week the boys travel down to Ivybridge.
