TAVISTOCK Air Cadets took to the skies during the Easter break when they visited RAF bases. Five male cadets visited RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire to experience a week's activities in leadership, teamwork and the RAF way of life. Pictured are cadets Ryan Sloane, Tom Ludwig, Zac Hallam, Luke Hilton-Pierce and Corporal Ian Liversidge. Several cadets, including Jordan Miles and Elisa Thomas, flew at RAF St Mawgan. The cadets flew in the RAF's elementary trainer, taking full control and undertaking aerobics, said Flt Lt Phil Newcombe, the CO of 2312 squadron. Other cadets have been active with Ten Tors training and gliding at Chivenor. The squadron welcomes girls and boys, aged 13 to 18 from the Tavistock area. The squadron meets on Tuesdays at the Crelake Cadet Centre from 6.30pm.
