Tavistock entertained Plymstock on an overcast afternoon, captain John McGahey won the toss and put Plymstock into bat. His decision was vindicated when Trembath had Brace caught behind for 7.
Plymstock made heavy weather of building a total due to a bowler friendly wicket but also a superb accurate spell from Wayne Downham who bowled his 13 overs for 22 runs.
The visitors were on 65-2 at the half way mark but four wickets for only 16 runs changed the game. Bowlers Sam Willetts and Jamie Stephens ripped the hart out of the middle order leaving Plymstock 81 -6 and despite a quick fire 21 from Ali they were reduced to a total of 143-9. Willetts bowled his best spell of the season taking 3-30 in 10 overs
Tavistock started well but Jamie Stephens ran himself out with the score on 24. Josh Stephens and Mark Gibbs soon followed and when Goodchild holed out for 27 Tavistock were in trouble at 48-4. McGahey and Milligan started to repair the innings and when Milligan was out he was joined by Phil Stephens. They managed to get to grips with fast bowler Ali and the spin of Whalley.
When McGahey took Farmer for 22 of his two overs the game was over and Tavistock romped home by five wickets with four overs to spare

Tavistock seconds v Bradnich seconds
TAVISTOCK lost the toss and were put into bat on a challenging wicket. Dean had Goodchild caught behind for 4 and he bowled a lively spell and took 2-27 off 10 overs.
Jamie Stephens and Phil Stephens had a good partnership of 66 before Jamie was caught but the run rate was slow. A middle order collapse by Tavistock left them on 95-8 before Sam Willetts and Phil Stubbs took the score to more than 100.
Bradnich in reply managed on 43 runs after 23 overs from their openers. Jeffery then removed Nicholls for 18 but D Acton was now getting the measure of this slow wicket scoring 48 before he was caught behind a great diving catch by Goodchild to make it 94-2.
Downham's fine spell of 1 for 25 off 10 overs was to no avail. Tavistock 2nd X1 never know when to give in and fought all the way but this was a bridge too far and Bradnich won with eight wickets in hand.
