Tavistock B 1

Plymouth University B 2

TAVISTOCK took the early initiative and the first 10 minutes was played in the University's end of the pitch.

Some fine play from all parts of the pitch allowed the pressure to continue resulting in a well earned goal from Nick Andrews for Tavistock. Short corners came and went and the home side could have gone into the interval well up if they had converted some of them — as it was Plymouth University managed to break and levelled the score before half time.

The second half saw much of the same play with a great deal of skill being shown by both sides.

As it was Plymouth got the winner and were denied more by some fine saves by the Tavistock goalkeeper.

With the final game of the league season only two weeks away the Tavistock players have ample time to sort out their short corner routine.

Joint men of the match for Tavistock Anders Collie and Sam Stanbury.
