A MOCK election is being held at Tavistock College in the run-up to the General Election.
Organised by the college's law and history teacher Helen Harris, the election process began on Monday, when all candidates appeared at assemblies and gave a brief introduction of themselves and their party.
Hustings are on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 5 and 6 at 12.30pm when students are invited to go along and ask questions.
Voting will be held on May 7 during registration and during breaks and lunchtimes only.
Candidates standing in the Tavistock College mock election are: Lily Hilson, Conservative; Bert Rodgers, Lib Dem; Freya Chambers, Devon Independence; Fen Easthaugh, Labour; Laurie Church, Green Party; Jazz Rice, UKIP.
The candidates are campaigning according to their manifestos, apart from the Devon Independence candidate, who will campaign on a manifesto written at the school.
Each polling station will be manned by sixth formers, supervised by staff and ballot papers will only be issued to students showing either their planner or ID.
Counting will require a team of sixth formers in the school hall and will begin at 2.15pm.
