The November coffee morning was a momentous occasion when Barbara Worth, the current manageress of the Yelverton Co-op, went along and presented a cheque for £1,100 on behalf of the Co-operative Society.
Hall Chairman, Jim Knight, expressed thanks for such a generous grant from a society renowned for its generosity to groups in all parts of the country.
Later in the morning, the hall was presented with a cheque for £200 from the Harrowbeer Airfield Interest Group which was another great gesture, said Mr Knight.
