A NORTH TAWTON girl has been selected to compete in the South West England finals of a national girlguiding singing competition in May. Natasha Quick was chosen to take part in the 'Guiding Star' competition after competing in the county finals last month along with 19 other girl guides from Devon. A team of independent judges assessed the singers' musical and performance skills together with the vital ingredient — 'star quality'. Natasha sang 'Girls just wanna have fun' and won the 16 to 25 year old category. Flik Hore from Roborough won the ten to 16-year-old section. The South West winners will go forward to the Girlguiding UK finals in Sheffield in June.
