THE Chagford singers will be giving a spring concert in Drewsteignton Church on Saturday March 31. The choir will be singing Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle — a misleading title for a work which is neither small-scale nor solemn. They will be joined by soprano Lorna Anderson, mezzo Rebecca Smith, tenor Peter Evans and bass Mark Boocock. Jonathan Watts will accompany them on piano, along with Jason Smart on the organ, and the concert will be conducted by Christopher Fletcher. The concert begins at 7.30, with tickets available in advance for £9, or on the door at £10.
