I?M SORRY if I shouldn?t be complaining to you and this letter is probably far too late to be of any use, but I want someone, everyone to know how outraged I am.
I watched Okehampton carnival and thought it was pretty good. A lot of floats, several local and all very good. Except one.
I can?t believe that the UK Independence Party was allowed not only to enter but win the category of Tradesman Tableaux.
How was a car with three balloons ? surprisingly, red, white and blue ? and a few posters able to win a category with ?tableaux? in the title? And how is the UKIP a tradesman? What could they possibly be selling, other than the opportunity to live in the past and be scared of the future?
If a pathetic car in a carnival is the best the UKIP can do for publicity, that?s saying something isn?t it?
