HURDWICK Golf Club held their annual Turkey Trot on the last weekend in November in typically gloomy autumn weather.
The winner was anything but gloomy as Simon Stokes produced an excellent return of 42 points to win the competition. He also shot the only two of the day to win the 'two's' sweep.
In second spot was Bob Phillips with 37 points followed in third by Neil Tamblin with 36.
The leading lady was Sally Arscott.
The December midweek Stableford was also held in windy and rainy conditions with Peter Brookbank coming out on top with 36 points. Close behind was Tony Pearson with 35 and Harry Bee was in third spot with 33 points.
Again, there was only one two, which came from Peter Brookbank on the first hole.
