TWENTIES-style movie drama comes to Drewsteignton this summer as Castle Drogo prepares to celebrate 25 years with the National Trust.

Silent movies are being made on two weekends which will involve producers, directors, actors and extras.

Peter Jennings, property manager, said: 'As the castle was built in the 1920s, we thought it would be good fun to re-create a feel of those times in a movie.'

The film will feature authentic costumes and music and staff are appealing to anyone in the area who might be able to loan period equipment to be used as props.

'If anyone can let us borrow old projectors or cameras, tins of film or anything relating to the 1920s we would be delighted to hear from them,' said Mr Jennings.

Anything lent will be taken great care of and returned safely to owners after the filming has finished. The movies will be made on May 27-28 and August 5-6.
