TAVISTOCK scored the first try of the game through Dave Northmore only to have Saltash reply with a penalty but after that the game was all Tavistock. Second row Neil Cole (vice captain) scored the first of his three tries and the Tavistock pack dominated allowing Stan Staniland to release his backs. Both wingers, Joe Lane and Glen Martyn, scored a brace of tries each.
Centres Mike Anderson and Alistair Fry also scored tries as did fly half Adam Bridgewater, who also kicked eight conversions.
Neil Cole then scored two second half tries to complete his hat trick.
Other outstanding players were Adam James, Paul Williams, Matt Wood and Adrian Baker.
Overall this was a great team performance and the side look good for the new season.
Work needs to be done on handling and fitness so captain Stan Staniland asks all his players for their continuing support at training, which is on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
